Today I am trying something new. I swam this morning and no running or biking. But I am doing a MVP session of :45 the day after my long run.

This morning my legs were pretty good, but still had some tightness in them. So I wanted to see how recovery would be if I did a :45 session today and see how my legs would be tomorrow morning when, if I have time, I want to do a short bike workout.

I caved and increased my rest period to :30. I am pretty sure that will help the numbness as in times past it has. But increasing the rest period seems to reduce the pumping effect. This is ancedotal and a comment on the feeling on my legs more than anything else.

Post pumping, legs feel much looser than this morning. If I have time, I will pump the day after long runs, or on full recovery days.

Ran long out at Rancho San Antonio about 11.8 miles at 1:58. Came back to :45 MVP session after icing. Once again I made it to :45 but legs were a bit numb and painful as circulation returned.

Ran track workout. Came back and did :45 session. Stuck my feet as far into the boots as possible and made it to :45, but legs were still numb enough where the blood rushing back was painful so I had to sit there for a while as circulation returned to my legs.

Reluctant to adjust the :15 rest session at the end but I may have to do it.

Ran long, second time out on The Dish loop with its steep hills. Time was 1:41.

Did MVP but adjusted the boots such that my feet were way down as far as they can go as this seems to help the numbness aspect. But made it to past 40 minutes but not quite to 45 minutes and legs were painfully numb again.

Got my MVP repaired and pumped after doing a track workout.

Settings were same as for 4/25/10 but only made it to 40 minutes. Got painfully numb at end.

Will set rest to 30 seconds next time.
